With the pandemic outbreak, we have all been forced to stay at home. But staying at home also means unnecessary trips to the fridge and munching on unhealthy fried snacks. This craving peaks in the evenings when you just want to open up that fried chips pack and continue binge-watching your favorite TV shows. 

Don't worry, we have got some quick healthy snack ideas that will keep you on the healthy track and also satiate those evening snack cravings. A quick tip to avoid bingeing on unhealthy snacks is to plan your meals at the start of the week, especially the dreaded evening snack time. 

Here are easy 5 healthy snacks recipes that are easy to make, healthy and delicious:

Hummus and Crackers

Hummus and Crackers make a super healthy and delicious evening snack. It is super easy to make and you can add your favorite topping like pesto sauce, olives, salsa, chili flakes, jalapenos, etc. to gourmet it up. 

Tomato and Cheese Toastie

This one is our favorite from the healthy snacks recipes. All you need is toasted brown bread, tomato slices, cheese (replace it with vegan cheese if you can), basil and spritz of balsamic vinegar. It is super delicious and fills you up until dinner.

Fruit and Nut Butter

Cut up your favorite fruits and slather your favorite nut butter on a wholewheat bread and voila. Its easy, healthy, and super delicious for an evening snack. You can even skip the bread if you are trying to avoid carbs and just dip the fruit in the nut butter and enjoy a wholesome and healthy evening snack. 

Sprout Salad

If you are looking to get a protein boost before your evening workouts - sprout salad is the best snack for you. Sprout some green moong and keep it in the fridge. All you then have to do is take some of those sprouted moong and chop veggies like carrots, cucumber, tomatoes and add to it. Sprinkle some salt and some black pepper and a dash of lemon juice and you have a delicious and healthy evening snack. 

Dates and Oatmeal Energy Balls

 

For those times that you crave a sweet treat, these oatmeal and dates energy balls are a perfect go-to snack. All you have to do is take some soaked dates, toasted oats, dark chocolate chips, nut butter of your choice, nuts of your choice, coconut flakes (optional), and grind it all. Roll them into balls. You can make a big batch and keep them in the fridge.
